Many outstanding breeders across the country are beginning to reap the benefits of the
BIG program, including the owners of the two amazing individuals above!

BIG Calf Starter and Grower formulas are unlike others on the market today. This is a complete program that continues to promote lean muscle growth and promote healthy immune systems from birth through transition and beyond.

As we all know, whole milk is nature’s best source of liquid feeding for the calf. However, we also
know that not everyone can or should feed whole milk due to on-farm constraints or milk price.
To address these constraints, Bovine Innovations Group is bringing a new milk replacer to the market.

If you are looking for a real cow's match;
when feeding whole milk isn't an option...

BIG COMPLETE 30/32 ALL MILK/CREAM BASED MILK REPLACER

WHY A 30/32?
A 30/32 replacer is equal to whole milk with 3.75% protein and 4.00% fat; whereas a typical 20/20 replacer is only 2.5%protein/2.5% fat milk! Thus, our decision for a 30/32 was to make something as close to whole milk as possible.

UNIQUE FAT SOURCES:
The fat sources in
BIG COMPLETE CALF 30/32 are also a revolutionary step. As some background, most North American milk replacers rely on four fat sources that tend to be highly saturated and long chain fatty acids. What this means is that the digestibility of these fats is lower and they provide feedback to the calf’s brain saying she is full, when she’s not. Consequently, you see reduced feed intake. In other parts of the world, oils such as soy, corn, and canola oils are used in milk replacers. These sources are lower in digestibility and, being vegetable oils, can cause digestive upset and less then desirable intakes and gains.

The fat sources we are using are a blend of traditional animal fat sources and two specialty sources including REAL CREAM! Two of our sources are UNIVERSITY PROVEN to increase intakes, average daily gain, and feed efficiency when compared with other milk replacers at the same fat levels! It is all about making a milk replacer with the fatty acid profile close to whole milk, something NO ONE has attempted before!
In addition to these fat sources and levels, we are including spray dried plasma to the milk replacer. Plasma has been shown repeatedly to improve gut and animal health. It is all natural alternative to using antibiotics.

Remember, maximizing nutrient intake through proper formulation and feeding practices IMPROVES ANIMAL HEALTH thus reducing morbidity, mortality, and treatments! Not to mention the ability to reduce calving age and GET MORE MILK and LONGEVITY as added benefits.

What are we talking about? Normal biological growth.
The closer we can get to normal, the healthier the calves, the bigger the calves, the stronger the
calves, and the more milk we will see from them when they calve.

BIG Calf Starters, Growers and now BIG COMPLETE CALF 30/32 Milk Replacer (when whole
milk isn't feasible) is the perfect combination for healthier, bigger calves and heifers.
You will see shiny hair coats, sparkling eyes and consistent manure - calf after calf.

B.I.G grain formulas are proprietary blends that include:

  • Intake stimulants. We all know that getting calves to eat grain is critical. Our intake stimulant has calves eating grain quicker and more consistently.
  • Essential Oils. These aid in the development of the rumen. They have been shown to promote certain strains of bacteria while also helping intake.
  • B Vitamins. B vitamins are involved in a whole range of rumen, metabolism, and growth of the calf. Calves fed whole milk typically consume over 10x the levels found in milk replacers. Thus, to get the calf closer to mom’s milk, we’ve added B vitamins.
  • Sugar and organic acids. Not only does sugar stimulate intake, it also stimulates rumen development. The organic acids act in conjunction with the sugar and essential oils to promote a healthy rumen.
  • Amino acids. The essential building block of proteins, research has shown that calves are deficient in lysine and methionine. Through ingredient selection, we’ve increased the amino acid content of the grain to match the calf requirements.
  • Higher levels of Vitamin E plus organic minerals. These nutrients stimulate the immune function of the calf. A healthy calf grows better and our vitamin E levels are aimed specifically at maximizing the calf immune system and growth.
  • Linseed meal (Flax) to provide specific fatty acids. These fatty acids have been proven to not only enhance hair coats, but also improve immune function.
  • Highly digestible ingredients to maximize growth.
